Battle of the Magicians

This mystery thriller is done quite well, both Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale give excellent performances as rival magicians. In the end there can only be one winner.



In late 19th century we have two talented magicians whom both want to be number 1. They initially work together for another magician, but when things go wrong and the wife of one of them dies due to a knot tied by the other. They have just become enemies and will now stop at nothing to destroy the other.

How do you destroy a magician? By revealing his secrets and doing better "magic" than your rival. So begins the deceit and the search for the next unbeatable and never before seen illusion. This drives both of them to new heights, but along the way, they both pay heavy prices.

This movie does have a few twists, and the big reveal at the end is very well done. It is worth watching this movie.
