Although both starred by Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, there is a striking comparison between the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with Rampage.
Jumanji movie, though not based on real game, but the story is made with game nuance. The audience was made like he was enjoying a game throughout the movie took place.
While Rampage, although adapted from the famous game, the movie did not feel the element of the game. We who watch this movie tend to focus on seeing the ferocity of three large-sized animals in ravaged the city of Chicago.
Fortunately, for the business of destroying the city, this film is held by one of the experts. Brad Peyton as the director has shown it through the film San Andreas in 2015.
Slightly different from the game, Rampage tells of secret research in space conducted by energyne giant company. They tried to change the DNA of animals to be used as weapons.
The conflict began when a mouse that became their experimental object reacted by enlarging many times to destroy all the laboratories in space.
A number of samples of the harmful potion that transformed the mice had slid down to the earth, causing an animal that accidentally touched it into a giant that will destroy the entire city.
When viewed from the story, Rampage movie is made for fun. This formula is also maximized by the appearance of two main players namely Dwayne Johnson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Both have their own charisma and are able to live their role well.
Rampage is a fun experience for fans of giant monster-themed movies. One thing that can be used as a benchmark, is that this movie is much more exciting than 'Pacific Rim: Uprising'.
