RED (retired extremely dangerous)
Hello!
I'm going to be talking about my one of my favorite films RED (retired extremely dangerous).
I bought the movie in 2010 on DVD and instantly fell in love when i watched it.
Red is a film about Frank Moses(Bruce Willis) who is a retired black-ops CIA agent who lives a quiet and lonely existence, keeps calling this girl Sarah Ross(Mary-Louise Parker), a worker at the Agency's pension office in Kansas. Whom he has fallen gently in love with. He then gets framed for a wet-job by unknown assailants, and realizes he has put heir in danger two by calling so often. So he decides to kidnap her to protect heir and she ends up falling in love with him as well. And they link up with Joe(Morgan Freeman), Victoria(Helen Mirren), Marvin(John Malkovich) and Ivan(Brian Cox). To try to figure out who is trying to frame them.
Trailer
The characters and actors playing them are amazing. The movie is a perfect mix of action and comedy, the story plays out perfectly and still gives me a smile even tho i'we watched the move at least 5 or 6 times. I would say Marvin is one of my favorite characters, He's back story is that he was fed LSD by the CIA as part of a secret mind control experiment. which left him kind of insane. He is paranoid about everyone but almost every time rightfully so, and this leads to some funny sequences.
Everyone doesn't necessarily share my love for the movie, and it hasn't received the best rating from critics. only receiving a average rating of 6.3/10 on rotten tomatoes. But i honestly think its it's worth a watch!
It may not be the killer thrill ride you'd expect from an action movie with a cast of this caliber, but Red still thoroughly outshines most of its big-budget counterparts with its wit and style.
- Critics Consensus Rotten Tomatoes
The movie might not be loved by critics and might not be that known. But i believe it's a hidden gem! I'll put some links to where to watch it! And if the links aren't to your liking you can always find a other way to watch it...
