Fall Guy and Unfrosted are worth watching.

Okay, so... Not gonna write a ton on my phone tonight, but for very, very different reasons, I thought both The Fall Guy and Unfrosted were both really good.

The Fall Guy is more of a proper action / romantic comedy movie... Where Unfrosted is more like a Zucker parody. But I found both to be hysterical.

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are just insanely talented as a comic actors, and everyone else in Fall Guy was so well cast.

It's exciting and fun, and the action scenes benefit a lot from the film being about stunt men. It lowers the stakes and verismilitude, because the movie is always winking at you a bit, but the flip side is that the stunts can be more absurd and insane and it all still works.

Great premise, fabulous execution... And even a brief cameo from Lee Majors.

As for Unfrosted, it's absurd and goofy. Almost like a more polished UHF. Per Seinfeld, and obviously from seeing the film, its plot is basically The Right Stuff. The comedic stakes are high (it's the entire future of breakfast!), but it's so, so dumb in the best way.

It is a deeply unserious film, but it's tight and looks great (shot, somehow, by Bill Pope...!?), and it's absolutely stuffed with incredible comics put in just the most ridiculous roles.

It's not gonna be for as wide an audience as Fall Guy, but it's definitely for me.
