Here was the first of the joint collaborations between Depp and Burton (for now they have eight films working together). Depp's endearing character, a metaphor for misunderstanding of society, and his love for young, innocent, beautiful Winona Ryder make this movie something special. It was the movie that made people notice this strange young man with an angled face and piercing eyes.
This movie is a certified classic! I love how people began to embrace Edward despite his differences. Depp truly illustrated pure talent in the film and I watch it every single time it is on!
