Hello steemians! This tremendous movie made success in many respects thanks to excellent actors — David Bowie (as Andy Warhol), Benicio Del Toro, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe, and Jeffrey Wright.
And also in the movie the high-quality soundtrack with the following musicians: PJ Harvey, Joy Division, Tom Waits, David Bowie, The Pogues, Van Morrison, John Cale
The movie is devoted to drama life of the artist neo-expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat: formation, glory and self-damage — and everything against the background of artistic life of New York the beginnings of the 80th years of the 20th century. Basquiat died on August 12, 1988 of overdose of heroin at the age of 27 years. For the short and rich creative life he achieved fame and wealth though he didn't learn to use neither that and nor to others at all. The biographic movie actually that isn't. Fragments from life of the artist confirm a thought that creativity is a state of mind and in what this gift will be shown from above, has no special value.
The bohemian atmosphere of New York of those of years is well reflected in the movie and people who created it are depicted. The movie especially deserves attention of those who are interested in history of the modern art.
