Sleepy Hollow: The Legend of the Headless Horseman by Tim Burton (1999)

At some point, we could blame Burton for initiating Johnny Depp in these theatrical and exaggerated gestures because although he did not start doing it in this, here it is noticed that Burton exploits the character as something fun to reach the smallest (despite that the film contains blood and heads rolling). While Lubezki is responsible for showing a mature tape, cruel and repugnant in the best sense of the word.

Ichabod Crane is an agent who solves cases and at the end of the eighteenth century a court sends him to the town of Sleepy Hollow, where he must solve some murders.

One of the best films of Burton. Where he got the perfect team, with high-profile actors like Depp, Ricci, Walken and Lee. Notice that the director joined them for a single purpose. The photograph of this film is impeccable. Mythical scenes where lighting, camera movements, editing sound and music look like a single mass. Danny Elfman for me is one of the best composers of today, he knows perfectly how to integrate classical and contemporary sounds. The scenarios and costumes are spectacular related to the time when the film unfolds. The sound editing is something of the little that is spoken and here we speak of something colossal, making more sinister the footage.

On the other hand, Kevin Yagher, who designed Chucky and the guardian of the crypt (Tales from the Crypt). A guy dedicated to special effects, in this film is one of the people in charge of adapting the work of Washington Irving and with Burton did quite well. I think there are more things to talk and debate, but I want to know your opinion. If you did not watch the movie, take some time to watch it, well worth it.

Regards, Antonio.
