TV Series Review: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-) Makes you part of the family
This show has a different place in my heart because it's very diffrent from all the other shows on one aspect. Which is, like ı said in the title, show slowly pulls you in and makes you one of them. Makes you part of the squad. Reason to that is hidden in story telling.
Show starts with Broklyn Nine Nine replacing it's captain. With that as new Captain Raymond Holt (portraid perfectly by Andre Braugher) starts to get to know Nine Nine's characters we get to know them too.
Thanks to Captain Holt's comically serious tone we first meet the squad clown and lead character Jake Peralta which is played by none other than Andy Samberg. This ying and yang comedic duo sets the shows pace from minute 1 to the very end. Already funny duo gets supported by fantastic characters like firm but also soft Sergent Terry Jeffords (portraid hilariously and muscly by Terry Crews), tough and secretive Rosa Diaz ( portraid by Stephanie Beatriz), nerdy and hard working Amy Santiago (portraid by Melissa Fumero), best best friend ever lived Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), secret laughing machine Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), and comedic reliefs Hitchcock and Scully (portraid by Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller).
Every passing episode we dive into each people's daily and work lifes and get to know them together with Captain Ray Holt. As Holt befriends and gets changed by them we change too. Because of this unique relationship there are many people who have special spot for Brooklyn Nine-Nine which led to an uprisng after the shows cancellation. And thanks to that uprisng show got picked up for a sixth season in netflix. Hoooray
Captain Holt's hooooray face
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the best comedy shows in business, definitely must see!
