"DRIVE" - Great Movies You Pobably Did Not Watch - #1

Drive is a movie released in october 2011, directed by " Nicolas Winding Refn " and starting " Ryan Gosling ", " Carey Mulligan" , " Christina Hendricks ", " Bryan Cranston " and other great actors the movie was a big deal when it was released but it's popularity decreased so fast and that's probably why you did not hear about it.

Ironically this movie is the number one " Masterpiece " on my list and it's not just me, everyone who watched the movie feels the same way.

Now the movie is not popular because of two things "Marketing" and false expectations, people see the movie trailer where Ryan Gosling plays the role of a " Getaway driver ", they see shots where Ryan is driving with super high speed and trying to smash a guy's head and they mistake the movie for a regular action movie.

Film lovers were in total ecstasy because of the trailer but when they saw the movie they were disappointed, why ?

Because they found something else, something different.

The movie starts with a shot of the driver "Ryan Gosling" with his route already mapped out, he starts by listing his rules :

" Anything happens in this 5 minutes window I'm yours, anything happens after that you're on you're own, Understand ? You will never be able to reach me on this phone again".

The driver wearing a scorpion jacket, meets his boss " Bryan Cranston ", picks up the car and starts one of the best driving scenes in history.

The mysterious driver who's committed to keep his identity secret, meets a beautiful lady ( Carey Mulligan ) and they fell in love, then shot after shot the mysterious nature of " the driver " begins to fade slowly.

I won't give the details because I want you to see the movie, but do you know the story of " the frog and the scorpion " ?

The Driver is the frog, he drives for the criminals or the scorpions, but he will be dragged into their criminal world.

The Driver's jacket has a scorpion on the back, just as the frog carried the scorpion on its back.

That's the general description I can give you guys :)

The movie is great because of the perfect lightning and cinematography, the great editing and timing, the camera is placed in " Realistic" positions which makes the movie unique.
