The Parkers have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank rules his family with a rigorous fervor, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost. As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris and Rose are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. My thoughts:

LOVED this!

Not your typical horror. It's brilliantly filmed as it doesn't resort to cheap scares or cliches. Everything slowly builds up to the revelation of what the Parkers are up to. I don't want to spoil it, but it's gruesome, yet not over the top.

It's creepy as the film perfectly portrays how secrecy within a family can be downright scary and also real. You think you know some people from the outside when really, you don't know how far down the rabbit hole goes.
