I ended my "relationship" with Breaking Bad in 2016, but this year I was tempted to watch the whole series again. I remember the first time I judged it for a 8+/10 ... but after seeing it again after 3 years, carefully analyzing and looking at the acting, I think my previous rating was disrespectful to this amazing series. In this little rewiev I will explain you why!

 

First of all, the main character... Heisenberg

Only better-played serial character than Walter White is Frank Underwood from "House of Cards", but that does not change the fact that Bryan Cranston made enormous work when he played Heisenberg. This is amazing. Breaking Bad because of his acting has been watched by millions of people and it was his contribution to perfectly played role that the series was considered one of the best in history.

Breaking Bad is not typical story about bad guy who does bad things.

This series is about the transformation of Walter, from humble chemistry teacher who worked in carwash  to the most powerful producer of methamphetamine in the US, a tough guy with no mercy and killed everybody who disturb him. Most of the films that we watch show the other face of the villain, after transformation in bad guy, but BB gives us the opportunity to see why this "demon" in Walter's mind has awaken and took the control.

The transformation is not sudden, it is influenced by many curcumstances, but the main motive to commit crimes is to make a lot of money for the family before he goes away destroyed by cancer. Of course, greed lust of power come later.

... but not only!

Breaking Bad is a series that has a brilliant main role, but the rest of cast is awesome too- in BB we'll see coolly recurring characters such as heartless drug dealer Gus, Walter's wife Skyler or "friend" of our main character - Jesse Pinkman, and many others (Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul did great work),

I liked this series in this aspect- very very good played roles, there is nothing to be angry for. I don't want to talk too much about it, because I would have to talk about scenes played well and I don't want to show them. Guys, buy Netflix or things like that and watch it by yourself, you must see it. :)

 

Good-working camera

I would have to be blind to not mention it to you. Shots in BB are peculiar and different in their own way than in the rest of the series. Take a look at the s1e1 and see what I'm talking about. The big count of shots is original, for example one of the gangsters was walking with a shovel and at the end of this shovel was fixed a  camera (something like selfiestick :D)- simple but original.

Many shots on which Heisenberg was supposed to looks majestically was recorded "from the ground." Transitions from one scene to another usually focus on some characteristic and interesting objects. Some scenes are recorded "from a distance" - in such a way that we have to zoom to the screen and see what the characters are doing. 

 

Cohesion, a series with sense

In my opinion Breaking Bad about the plot can be compared with the game Red Dead Redemption 2- when we finish our adventure with this series, we have no questions, each thread has been closed (except one, but this is already a separate movie) and the whole story was locked. Simply- the end, period. Of course there are conspiracy theories about some issues, but 90% of those are not true.

The second thing is credibility. There are no unexplained actions, everything has its reasons and consequences - as in real life. There is also no "hiding scenes from viewers", I mean everything that is important is showed on the screen.

I like that it is not a series about exaggerated story, but a story of one particular man who shows us what people can do when death is near.

Finally, here is one disadvantage 

Breaking Bad has a lot of "boring" scenes ... but the truth is that some of these scenes will be boring to some people, others will like it. I'm talking about scenes where characters talk, and these scenes take up 90% of the whole series. 

For examplehere are many situations in which Walter talks to his son and then stops for half a minute and thinks about nobody knows what, then he starts talking again. As I wrote above - some may get bored, some do not. 

I liked those scenes, because I could "get into" a show, but I know people who just got bored.

                                                   SUMMARY

This "review" has been specially shortened so that you can discover the beauty of this series yourself. I don't want to tell you about many other strengths such as dialogues (which can also be considered a disavantage, see above), music or humor used at the right moments, because I want you to discover it yourself.

Breaking bad is MUST-WATCH by everybody who wathing movies/series.
