Nature Photo Contest Week #9 – MOUNTAINS MONDAY
This is my entry into the Mountains Monday Nature Photo Contest run by @shadalene.
This is Mount Lindesay, a mountain located within the Mount Barney National Park in Queensland and the Border Ranges National Park in New South Wales. This photo was taken from the Mount Lindesay Highway on the New South Wales side of the border. It is well known for its tiered summit and the eroded remnants of lava flows. It is often seen in a cloud of mist and other than the northern slope, the rest of the peak is covered in thick, lush rainforest.

Love Mount Lindesay. I never climbed it but I did climb most of the ridges on Mt Barney.
Oh cool... I've not done any of the hikes out that way. I know most of the land is privately owned but there is still a public access area to get to the top! : )
We were forced to go home this way a few weeks back, the road we would usually take was closed due to a new bridge being build, it was a much longer way home for us but it was nice to travel a new road. We stopped a few times along the way to enjoy the scenery.
