I think you made the right decision you have to trust your own Instincts and not follow the crowd in situations like this and as You say Karen did not disagree carrying on was not a good idea
Yes, it was certainly the right decision for me, and I think you make a good point about not following the crowd.
Many including me when I was younger find it hard to resist peer pressure or going with the group but sometimes it’s important to do just that and trust your gut feelings
