May 3, 2019- Took a nice drive after work

in #mountains5 years ago

We took a drive after work and the mountains were quite beautiful!
From the St Ignatius Overlook-

Looking the other direction, towards the National Bison Range-

A glimpse of the Mission Mountains, reflected in a roadside lake-

A view across Flathead Lake to Chief Cliff outside of Elmo, Mt. Native stories tell of an old Kootenai Chief who rode his horse off the top of the cliff and died because he felt that the younger members of the tribe were ignoring their elders. He was trying to make the tribe remember that elders have value and wisdom too.

And a random bit of whimsy- a plastic teddy bear thing I spotted in the overlook parking lot.

Those nice afternoon/after work, lets go and see some eye candy drives are so much fun. Looks like spring is springing in that area, some nice new fresh green grass, snow not so thick on the mountains, and a fake plastic teddy bear to top it all off. looks like it was a nice drive.

It was s nice drive! The mountains and valleys are always pretty but this time of the year they are outstanding!
Thank you!

It is always interesting how you can find little bits of humanity everywhere. I have found little things like that teddy bear in spots in the woods that I can't imagine any child playing in.

Certainly looks to have been a pretty drive.

I see things in odd places too, but usually because they have fallen from a geocache... :)
Thank you! I look forward to reading your posts, just checked out your stuff and you write a lot of neat pieces.

Haha, that may be what is going on with my finds as well.

Thanks, I love to write, when I can find the time to squeeze it out.
