I'm standing and higher, all the way to the
parking area behind me

these are the docks for oil and gas
It's a long walk to the last one!
Even longer when you bend over a lot to
pick up rocks, driftwood, beach glass, rusty
objects and other things!
Iliamna and Augustine volcanoes are to the
south out of sight in this direction

Panning to the north west is Redoubt volcano and
part of the northernmost dock

There are four volcanoes on alert right now
Great Sitkin, Cleveland, Semisopochnoi, Veniaminof
Looking north, mount Spurr volcano is
behind this last of the three docks
There is also a photographer taking a photo
of a seal in the water, oil rigs can be seen in
the distant waters
Many pretty agates are found on the
beach like this one I found that day

The cold wasn't so bad that day, not hot but not cold,
as long as the wind don't blow lol
The wind is cold and can make they eyes water and
that makes it hard to find cool rocks!

Beautiful but cold looking world you have there. Why not winter in Hawaii?
Wasn't to bad that day, cold on that big mountain tho!
Won't be long till the white stuff cometh.
Hawaii is to small, rather pick Australia, go to one
them underground opal mines :-)
Big volcano, Alaska Coast, covered with snow, looks close!
It's creeping down inch by foot, soon to be in the yard! :-)
