5 Cheap MTB upgrades

in #mountainbike6 years ago

So you just spent all your money on a new MTB and now you want to do some upgrades. Here are 5 cheap MTB upgrades you can do to make you bike standout to others:

  1. Light - https://amzn.to/2JDl1PO
This light on costs about $20 and is very helpful to see at night and be seen by others. I have the S400 but the S300 is still just as good a durable.

  2. Colored zip ties - https://amzn.to/2M7VZH8
Colored zip ties are a perfect cheap way to upgrade the look of your MTB. You can use them to replace the standard cable holders on the frame. or you can use them to hold you cables together so they look a little bit cleaner.

  3. Colored valve stem caps - https://amzn.to/2LxQLn4
Colored valve stem caps are a perfect cheap way to upgrade the look of your MTB also. You can use them to replace the standard valve stem caps on your rims. I find that they look best if you accent the colors of your bike here.

  4. Bottle cage - https://amzn.to/2LrrvP9
A bottle cage and water bottle is always a good thing to have on the trail or out for a casual ride. Some come with tools that attach to them and others are just for a water bottle. I highly recommend this upgrade so you don't have to bring a water backpack with you every time you go riding.

  5. Lock on handlebars - https://amzn.to/2M84JwL
Lock on handlebars are a great way to improve your confidence riding. I changed mine out because after any downhill ride the grips would always move one way or another. Definitely a highly recommended upgrade.
