The road is still dry and not covered with thin layers of salt. When that starts happening, I park the motorcycle in the garage and wait for the spring rains to wash it out. Salt is bad for the bike.

Salt is detrimental to a bike as it most times lead to rust which facilitates reduction of its life span via spoilage.

This is a mountain trail sign. From this moment on, I am officially a biker-hiker. :D
