Once again Mother Nature threw a curve ball in MotoGP riders' strategies at the German Grand Prix. Marc Marquez played his cards right to take his seventh-straight win at Sachsenring before the MotoGP paddock heads off on Summer break. Here's a look back at the action and drama in photos...

As the saying goes, "Don't like the weather, wait five minutes..." Well, it took a little longer for it to change, but the wet conditions didn't last making for yet another crazy flag-to-flag race.

Marc Marquez' plan to come in early proved to be the winning formula for the Repsol Honda rider. But it was still a gamble.

That same gamble didn't work out so well for Pol Espargaro who crashed right after his bike change.

Valentino Rossi would have preferred a full-wet race. The Italian felt his best shot to win was in those conditions.

Cal Crutchlow (35) was a man on a mission. The Brit went all out to claim second-place honors, his first podium since last year's Grand Prix of Argentina.
