The Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team have been very busy over the last year dealing with multiple injuries which has resulted in an ever changing team roster. This has meant finding yet another replacement for the injured Jimmy Decotis as he will not be able to compete at the start of the upcoming Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. So for the start of the season the Brazilian amateur star, Enzo Lopes, will be making his pro racing debut aboard the JGR Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Suzuki RM-Z 250.

Lopez has made quite a name for himself racing in the amateur nationals across the United States. At only eighteen the youngster, who hails originally from Lajeado in Brazil, has worked hard to push his way up the ranks and recently won the 250 MX Pro Class at the California Classic. Lopez's total Brazilian National Championships number eleven and he now has multiple US titles under his belt.

"This is a dream come true! Being a kid from Brazil, it's amazing to think that I'm part of the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I'm so thankful. I like North Carolina, because it reminds me of home. My first day on the Suzuki RM-Z 250 was so much fun. The bike felt perfect right away, as it is very fast and handles well. I'm really looking forward to Hangtown."

Jeremy Albrecht, the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team manager, is very excited about what the future holds for the young star. JGR have always been very good at spotting and supporting up and coming as well as well established riders. This is a great signing for them and we will all be looking forward to seeing him in action mid May.

"It's exciting to give a young kid and promising amateur this opportunity. We're interested to see what he's capable of. He will be spending the next few weeks riding in North Carolina in preparation for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. I'm happy to support Enzo. Hopefully he can achieve his goals. We expect that he will race the opening three or four nationals."

Good luck Enzo and well done mate, hard work pays off :)
