Everyone who watched the 250 SX heat race at Daytona last weekend saw the savage endo crash that took down RJ Hampshire. A mistake in the whoops saw him thrown over the handlebars and crash out hard. The heat race was red flagged as the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit needed to assist him getting off the track and it was deemed unsafe to do so while the race was in motion.

GEICO Honda have released a statement which said Hampshire picked up a broken rib, some shoulder damage and a stable fracture to his T3 and T4. This is not the news any Supercross fans ever want to hear as any back issues are very bad.

Positive news though as emerged which states that although the injuries were extensive, with rest and time off he should be ready to compete at the start of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
