Anyone who has watched the races from Anaheim 1 will know about the Wilson crash. It looked a real nasty one and was such a shame after he was putting down some amazing lap times. He was pushing near the top of the times a couple of times during practice.

Recovering from a bad start he immediately started to put down some great speed and started to reel in the leaders at a blistering pace. One small error while attempting a pass mid way through a rhythm section caused his bike to tip and send him flying over the bars and slam hard.

"Such a disappoint to end my night. I seen a opening for a pass and I went for it. I was wheeling that section all day and I just got to antsy trying to pass. I will get my shoulder checked Monday and will know further details. I feel like I let my sponsors, fans, friends and family down. I will give you an update once I know – hopefully I will be OK."

It's a huge blow for Wilson as he was making such good progress in his riding lately, earlier in the night it was reported that he was feeling 'Bummed, disappointed and embarrassed'.

Luckily the medical team at the stadium confirmed that he had not broken any bones but obviously there is still a concern about internal injuries. Updates will come as soon as they have been released.

Sad to see but hopefully Deano will be given the all clear and won't be off the bike too long.
