AMA Motocross Round 2 Glen Helen 2017 Injury List
AMA Motocross outdoors season moves to Glen Helen this weekend so lets have a quick recap on the bad side of motocross... Injuries.
Thankfully round 1 was injury free which is a great way to start the season. Nothing worse than seeing such amazing potential get crushed through accident or bad judgement... Feerrandis and Seely had issues but nothing that will keep them from riding this weekend.
I'm super pumped to see what Adam Cianciarulo can do this season after such a successful supercross season. His starts are Alessi worthy and if he can stay fit and heathy... wow big things coming.
Ok so... who's recovered and ready for Geln Helen.
Bradley Taft: This guy has been missing for a while now due to a nasty head blow before Anaheim 1. You cant be too careful with head injuries so I'm glad he took the time to recover. Cycletrader Yamaha will be happy he is back and representing
Dylan Ferrandis: After withdrawing from Hangtown, for similar reasons as Taft with his head, 108 has ridden this week. He has said that he now feels well enough to ride round 2. Happy to see him back!
Cole Seely: he went down super hard on his hip in practice and it didn't look good. He was whisked over to the Alpinestar X-Ray unit and they confirmed everything is all good. I'm sure he will be a little sore though... Lets hope he can push through..
Davi Millsaps: Wrist injuries plagued his Supercross season but somehow he sill managed to ride through it. That being said he has decided to take the time out now to get things sorted. He is hopeful to get back to racing by the end of the outdoors though.
Jordon Smith: Man... i saw this crash with my own eyes! He hit the fence right in front of me at the Supercross final in Vegas. I was surprised to see him back on a bike so soon! He tried to ride press day but immediately pulled off.
Trey Canard: KTMs newest signing is still trying to shake off his deamons. After multiple problems and crashes during Supercross he got back on his bike and broke his collarbone... I hope he is back soon but 100% not riding Glen Hellen.
Jimmy Albertson: Jimmy is out with no return date :( He suffered a crazy amount of injuries during Supercross... Fractured Manubruim, body of the sternum, T5 through T7, compressed T4 through T6, epidural hematoma of T5 and bilateral patchy lung contusions and to top it off a left metacarpal fracture... jesus...
Chase Sexton: Chase broke his demur in Atlanta, although he is back riding he wont be racing Glen hellen.
Phil Nicoletti: Monster Energy are confident that he will be back racing before the end of the outdoor season after his crash at round 6 of Supercross.
Matt Bisceglia: Another broken leg recovery for Matt but he is also confident he will be back before the season concludes.
Benny Bloss: A broken humerus and dislocated shoulder certainly wont be laughed about for Benny but he should be back riding in a few rounds.
RJ Hampshire: RJ broke both his tib and fib in March which but somehow is bouncing back quick and expects to be back soon. Geico are needing him so lets hope he does.
Chris Alldredge: Another nasty list of injuries keeps Chris down. Fractured pelvis, partially collapsed lung, lacerated liver, fractured rib, L1 though L4.
Ken Roczen: No surprise here. Ken suffered horrific wrist, elbow and arm injuries during that fateful Supercross race. He will continue to focus on his recovery. Good luck Ken and hope to see you riding soon.
look's dangerous but would be fun to watch a race like this
It's amazing to watch live! If you ever get the chance to go to a live race, or even better race in one, you should do it :)
I would totally go to a race. Maybe I would blog about it on Steemit too. :) What else races do you also like to watch?
Why not that's what steemit is here for!
