Yamaha Tzr 50 CC 2stroke

in #moto7 years ago (edited)

The Yamaha TZR is one of the largest and most expensive mopeds on the market. The design of the TZR is the smaller brother of the Yamaha R1 and R6, which can be found in line and design.
The TZR has a one-cylinder two-stroke engine that is limited to 45 kilometers per hour according to the statutory regulations. Unlimited these mopeds get around 90 kilometers per hour, this through the am6-block on which a fast cylinder (generally Gilardoni 2) is mounted at the factory. With a fast racing exhaust such as Giannelli Race and Yasuni R1 or HEBO Racing, speeds of 90 to 140 kilometers per hour are possible.
Not only the appearance is that of a real engine, also the frame corresponds to the frame of the Yamaha TZR 125 and 250. The braking device is similar to that of a motorcycle, and the tires are just as thick as for example with a Honda CBR 125 The rear tire is even wider.
The TZR is equipped with a digital speedometer and an analog tachometer. For these reasons, TZRs are also chosen for cup races.
The current model (2003 to the present) is - unlike the name suggests - not the first model. The forerunner was simply never released in the Netherlands. That was a 50cc version of the Yamaha TZR 125, so basically only another block (generally am-6).
