Blue Blood Moon

Did your country experienced the Super Giant Blue Blood Moon yesterday?

According to the study ofHannah Fuchs (2018), A blue moon is the name given when a second full moon occurs in the space of a calendar month. Yet it does not appear to be especially blue and is more of a calendar event than something the naked eye will see. There was a full moon on January 2 and now another one on January 31, giving us the "blue moon". Last but certainly not least is the blood moon, which is a natural consequence of a total lunar eclipse.
The eclipse happens when the Earth passes, briefly, between the moon and the sun. The effect of this brief shadowing is that the moon appears to be blood-red, rather than its normal reflective bright color, as a result of the refraction of sunlight.

Viewers in the right location witnessed this total lunar eclipse.

In addition to the study of Elizabeth Zubritsky (2018) titled What Scientists Can Learn About the Moon During the Jan. 31 Eclipse, three lunar events came together in an unusual overlap that’s being playfully called a super blue blood moon. The second full moon in January will take place on the 31st, making it the first blue moon of 2018. It also will be considered a supermoon — one that appears slightly larger and brighter than usual because it occurs when the Moon is near its perigee, or the closest point in its orbit to Earth.

Here in the Philippines, people enjoyed their experienced the second Giant Blue-Blood Moon in the Philippines since then. People get out to their houses and watched the beauty of the rare Blue Mon.

Have a blast!. Good day to everyone.
