Ignorance gives rise to fear and greed

What is it that makes you get out of bed every morning and go to work? What makes you thrive through the rough times of your life? What is the factor that makes you want to become rich and wealthy? Is it fear? greed?

A few questions were thrown to me by one of my friends just recently. “Why is it you wanna become rich? What is the point in you doing this? Are you greedy towards money?”. No, I am not greedy towards money or whatever I earn.

Greed and fear are caused by the ignorance. Ignorance of the fact that you don’t have any knowledge and understanding of what you doing. It puts you in a state where you’ll be consistently struggling to make progress. Why is it 99% of the world’s population work for the 1%? It is because that the 1% have chosen to acquire the knowledge to run business empires.

The rest have substantially ignored to educate themselves which results in the rise of fear. It is the fear that they don’t start taking risks, their fear takes control of them. For most, it is the fear of not getting enough money that they wake up every day for work. Fear is what drives them not passion or anything else.

Once a person stops searching for information and self-knowledge, ignorance sets in.
Moreover, having enough wealth is not the best solution too. Having more money doesn’t make you all happy. I agree that it can buy things that you want; however, that is not true happiness. The ones who are wealthy without proper knowledge of money are soon to become greedy. Here, the ignorance of knowledge leads to greed. They get controlled and carried away by money and buy stuff that they really don’t need.

Another reason for the ignorance is that people over-react to their emotions, in doing so they fail to think. They let their emotions take over. We need to have a stable mind to think clearly instead of letting the emotions make the thinking.
