This does resonate. I had a lot of friends in my last job and myself along with some highly intelligent colleagues were laid off due to short sightedness and short term goals. Much of the work we did to evolve the organisation has been wasted and the organisation has failed to change. Senior management and directors should be more accountable for long term success instead of trying to save money in the short term.
