Stories of childhood - inspiration

Long long time ago, there was a great kingdom ....... The king's name is still unknown, but the story really created a manager's attitude in myself. So, the story begin like this.

their was a great king and his gardener. The gardener was working for the king for almost 30 years. One day, the king have appointed a manager to take care for his kingdom. The news reached to the Gardner and he got angry on the king and visited the king to have a question about his devotion to the kingdom.
The moment he reached the king, he started quietening about his quality of work and asked that why he was appointed as the manager of the kingdom.
The king was calm and listened the gardener
.
Gardner: Sir, I have been serving you for almost 30 years and why a person who is half in the age of mine, he got the opportunity and i had not?

King replied very politely and in a calm manner: Okay, Now I will give you a task to fulfill and if you do the task proprly then you will get the position of the manager of kingdom.

Gardner: Sir, I'm ready.

king: Okay, if you remember my dog have given birth two days ago, so please go and check it.

Gardner went to the dog's place and replied.

Gardner: Yes sir, your dog have given birth.

King: Go and check how many puppies are their.
Gardner went and came back

Gardner: Sir, Total of 6 puppies are delivered by your dog and they are really very pretty.

King: That I know, please let me know how many of them are male and female.
Again, the gander went and came back.

Gardner: Sir their are 4 male and 2 female.

King: That's really great, now can you please go and check their colors.
Gardner again went to the dogie's place and came back with the information.

Gardner: Sir, there are 3 black and and 3 brown puppies I have noticed.
The king was glad with the info but also, at the same time he was about to teach a management lesson to his Gardner.

King called his newly appointed manager and said,

King to manager: Dear, my dog has given birth to puppies, can you please go and check.
Manager said : Sure sir, it will be my honor to work on this and left. After 30 minutes, the manager came bback and said,

Manager: Yes sir, you dog has given birth to some beautiful puppies. They are 6 in total out of which 4 are male and 2 are black and 3 are black and 3 are brown. Sir, if you need any other task to be done then please let me know.

King: It's okay. You can leave.

King to Gardner: See my dear friend, this is difference which makes me to appoint this young guy.

Gardner was confused and asked: What is the difference sir.

King: See my friend, for the same task i have to ask you 4 times for the information but the manager have came back with all the info by just giving him a single task. this is the difference.

The Gardner realized and went happily.
