Treat life as a movie, and you are the main character, not a spectator of a spectacle.

When we watch a movie, a lot of times it is the main character, doing great things, things that you would never imagine that you would do. After all, its all about the main character, its a movie right? I used to watch movies before, with its wild imagination and drama on the screen, it is hard not to watch a few more, and some more. Movies become a big part of our modern life. I was always the weird one out, at school, college University etc..., the one with unconventional perspective to almost everything. People would think I am stupid and weird, I like to just think I see things that others don't. As a bit of an introvert I didn't have a major group of friends, so unlike the ones that did I would have plenty of time thinking about things in life.

I stopped watching movies for a while and went back to it. My unconventional mind didn't like it anymore. I felt like crap when I saw the main character that was doing big things, meanwhile I am sitting on my ass doing nothing. After the movie was finished I would feel like my 'God I wasted a lot of time in my life'. So there I was thinking

Why do people watch fictional people being successful when they can set out to achieve things in their life?

I have forever been asking this question to my friends but these are the responses that I got:

"Man whats wrong with you, you need to socialise."

" You are so boring, you need to have some imagination in life man!!!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN??"

"Movies can inspire you to do things in life!!!"

This is not a disrespect to any movies or actors/actress or people who watch them. I am just giving my opinions. The 4th one is funny, it is true at times and I am not going to lie about that. Movies can inspire you, however most people don't watch it to get inspired, and when they do they don't really get inspired. Instead they watch it and gain a vivid imagination. Imagination is great, however, an imagination that you don't strive for is just a dream or a day dream. This is what most people do, the most wonderful imagination they have is in their day dream.

When I stopped watching movies I felt like I was a more confident person, and the things only dared to be done in movies, I was doing in real life. NO, not driving a modified Toyota Supra with N2O tank like you see in every Fast and Furious Movies, or whatever they drive now a days, but more in terms of doing things that I didn't dare do before. I am challenging myself to be something great and suddenly my great imagination didn't stop soon as I turn off the TV or leave the Cinema anymore and I was no more just a spectator to amazing things. I now feel like I am the s**t LOL.
