Look around....can you see? Nothing lasts forever.
As I ponder on what to write, several thoughts came to mind. I may not say it all here but I will say a few. Sometimes, we find ourselves stranded, in situations we don't expect. I know this happens to everyone even people who seem or appear to have it all, you will agree with me that things don't always happen the way we want it.
But the fact that someone is having a bad day or a bad time, doesn't necessarily mean the whole world is and it does not mean the situation will last forever. This is seen when you may be sad, angry or dissapointed at some situations and somebody somewhere or at times somebody close to you, is having the best time of their life.
It is the irony of life. It is also why we are advised to live and appreciate every moment of our lives. No condition is permanent, no one mourns forever and no one smiles forever. Nothing lasts forever, it is the bad news and it is also the good news.
Everyone is meant to have a fair share, of both the good and the bad. Sometimes crying is therapeutic, it helps get a relieve from overwhelming burdens. Pain also, is a good motivator.
Life is not a straight line journey, it is also not where you can apply logic and expect it to work always. The most brilliant and knowledgeable people still can't explain all the mysteries of life.
I believe life is a teacher, we must learn from our happy moments as much as we learn from our pain. We must also remember, that nothing lasts forever.
You know @ponmile,it is easy to get vexed at the sight of others' successes, especially when yours seems not so forthcoming. It actually takes a lot of mental fortitude for some people to actually be happy at your happiness. But if we all realize that life is in stages and we all have our individual timetables, don't you think it would actually eradicate strife and actual wickedness, especially in this part of the world.

"Nothing lasts forever", I find that very true and enjoyed reading your piece. I find a lot of things come in waves: energy, sound, and life itself. Every good and every bad thing has a beginning, a middle (or peak) and an end. That light bulb started to light up years ago and to remember that nothing lasts forever or that events, situations, come in waves, all come with beginnings, middles or peaks and ends helps to get through difficult times - to show that it won't always be bad or negative, and that we should appreciate and enjoy the good times as long and as much as we can.
