OVERCOMING LOW SELF ESTEEM

Low self esteem is an emotional disorder that causes people to look down on their self which results in negativity and is capable of producing bad results in the life a person, the feeling of seeking outward approval instead of inward approval which is most detrimental to the success of a human being in any aspect of his or her life.
A life with low self esteem is a life insecurity, inability to speak up, Inability stand for his or her beliefs, a depressed life, anxiety, poor social interaction

It can be caused by abuse (verbal or physical), pessimism and destructive criticism

It creates a false impression about life and it's challenges, in the short term it makes you feel safe but in the long term it makes you have the mindset of always running away from stuffs you find challenging and also it replaces strength with weakness.

HOW TO GET HEALTHY SELF ESTEEM
To get a healthy self esteem you have to identify the negative beliefs you have about yourself

Start noting those negative beliefs : you may say you're worthless or you're boring

Write down evidences that challenge the negative beliefs:like I'm good at singing or i make my friends laugh when I talk

Write down other positive things about yourself like I'm a great cook, I am a good singer

Also write down good things people say about you
Aim to have at least five things on your list and put it where you can see it so you can remind yourself that you're ok

OTHER WAYS ARE

1.) Recognise what you are good at
Whether solving puzzles or singing

2.) Build positive relationships
Disconnect yourself from people that tend to bring you down
Seek out relationships with people that are positive and appreciate
you
3.) Be kind to yourself
4.) Start saying no
Don't say yes to anything you don't want, people with low self esteem always say yes to even what they don't want, this is bad as it makes you overburdened and resentful
5.) Give yourself a challenge
We all get afraid or nervous to try something new at times but people with healthy esteem do not let this disturb them
6.) Seek help if getting out of hand

That abuse continued until she was 14 years old.

On top of all that, she dealt with people picking on her weight, as well as the types of clothes she wore while being brought up around severe poverty.

Oprah Winfrey’s a powerful example and inspiration to us all. And is proof poor self esteem can be overcome.

First step is to disconnect from toxic people. They have a way of making you feel worthless.

Toxic people are just so dangerous very dangerous.
There must be a disconnection
