Here Are 6 Things You Should Avoid to Prove Your Mental Strenght
1. NEVER VISUALIZE ON THINNGS YOU CAN'T CONTROL
In life, there are certain things beyond our control that we should let go of by focusing on the things we can control. Just a quick example, you can't control the weather and stop the rain, but what you can do is take an umbrella and be ready in case it does rain. Focusing on things you can control gives you some kind of edge over things you can't control. It helps you stay ready and in control.
2. NEVER DEVELOP LOW SELF-ESTEEM
People with strong mental strenght don't have low esteem or low opinion of themselves because they know their worth. Always appear confident through the tone of your voice, through your body languages, through you dressing and through you postures. Having a high opinion of yourself always makes people belive you are the right man for the job. If you do not believe in yourself, who will?
3 AVOID GIVING UP AFTER FAILING
People with strong mental strenght do not just conceed to defeat just after few fails because they know that success requires failures, courage and persistence. Always find the strenght to get up after you fall, and always find the courage to face the challenges ahead of you. Having a strong mental health gives you the drive to prove critics wrong and use their criticism as fuel.
4. NEVER GIVE AWAY YOUR POSITION
Do not make people believe you are not competent and qualified for a certain positions that you want or already occupy. If your employer belive in you enough to give you the position, if you were able to get to that position yourself, then you deserve it. Even if you think you are not living up to expectations, then make plans and humble yourself to learn more and perform beter.
5. AVOID TRYING TO PLEASE EVERYONE
Being mentally strong involves developing a thick skin against external pressures. Understand that people who's criticisms you have to give a lot of thoughts are criticisms from your boss, your mentor and people who matter. Do not take every criticism to heart and do not try to please everyone because like the saying goes, "A person who tries to please everyone only ends up pleasing no one".
6. ALWAYS AVOID TAKING UNCALCULATED RISK
Being mentally strong also involves calculation, staying in control and staying ready. Do not take uncalculated risks because of the huge return promised. Most time people take these risks that hurt them later because it's coming from someone they know or even trust. Always do your own research about any risk you want to take. This makes you aware of possible side effects and then decide if they are worth the risk.
Being mentally strong is all about discipline. These things are not easy to inculcate but with discipline you can stay in control of you hormones, desires, emotions and urges. With discipline you can live everyday according to your own personal values.
