THE VALUE OF SECRET PLACE

The term "Secret Place" comes from the Hebrew word " Cether" meaning to hide or be concealed. This word is used in Psalm 139:15 as "My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place." Here, it speaks of the hidden world of a mother's womb as a child grows.

A secret place can refer to a physical location, it most often connotes a state of a soul in its relationship with God. Psalm27:5 says " For in the day of trouble, He will conceal me in his tabernacle... the psalmist is not referring to an actual tabernacle but the state of peace God gives in the midst of trials and attacks.

The value of the secret place of the most high includes:

1. Deliverance from the snare of the Fowler. (Psalm91:4)
   The fowlers are the enemies hunting you which you know nothing about. They set traps all round you (psalm118:10-12)

2. Deliverance from the noisome pestilence(Psalm91:3)
   This could be any destructive plague or diseases. God is the greatest Physician, the Master healer who heals at no cost and with no National Health Insurance card. Yours is to dwell in his secret place and you shall be delivered (1Peter2:24)

3. You shall not be afraid, (psalm118:6). " The Lord is with me l shall not be afraid, what can mere mortals do to me?

4. No evil shall befall you if you stay in the secret place of God (psalm91:9-10)
   It seems that evil is prevalent and diseases of all kinds are spreading across the world. Think of Bird flu, cancer, AIDS, Diabetes, Hypertension and mysterious strains of airborne diseases. It seems the healthcare system is failing. God has always been man's healer. Dwell in his secret place and experience your miracle.

5. He shall keep his angels charge over you (psalm91:11, 12)
   His angels are on duty 24/7 guarding and protecting those in his secret place 24/7

6. You shall tread upon the lion... ( Psalm91:13)
   You shall be given the power to tread upon serpents, scorpions, lions and over all the Powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Lk10:19-20)

God invites us into his secret place. To respond to this call, we must walk away from enticement of this world and we must be willing to be transparent. Transparent in all that we do.
