When priorities are clear, decisions are easiersteemCreated with Sketch.

Clear priorities make decisions easier. It's like removing the branches of a vast forest to locate its roots, those that sustain our self-esteem to find excess things and people, to act without fear and always agree. a heartfelt voice.

This seemingly apparent premise has nuances we can consider. One emotion dominates our world: sadness. Depressed people often feel this. The person loses control of their life, like a thorn that pierces us and steals our air.

“He who thinks a lot before making a decision will spend his life balanced on one foot.”

A Chinese proverb

When we doubt our life choices, we become emotionally fragile. Why bother with traitors? Why am I so concerned about a work where no one values me? Why didn't I follow my gut and leave while I could?

Dissatisfaction comes from life's despair. Also discontent, the progressive loss of life control. We suppose nothing will change during these periods. Instead of teetering in this uncomfortable emptiness, we might accept this personal crisis as an inflection point in our life.

The time is right to uncover new meanings and explore our inner universes to identify our priorities, which give our identity strength, breath, and courage.

Our inability to separate our priorities from others' is one of our biggest issues. Only welcoming some does not mean rejecting others. Nobody can navigate the world by ignoring work, family, and friends. Keeping a sensible, harmonious, and strong balance is the key.

If we spend all our time pleasing others, we neglect ourselves and alienate ourselves from that centre of power, that fragile core we must listen to daily: ourselves. To constantly keep requests within your circles, visualise your priorities to solve the problem equation. That means no one can ask me anything that violates my morals, self-esteem, or physical or emotional integrity.

This means you must always make decisions that follow the heart, or emotional brain, in daily life. How to accomplish this? We should first study decision-making brain systems to figure out how to get there.

The orbital cortex controls decision-making, according to a Nature Neuroscience study. This experiment revealed an intriguing fact: this arrangement concentrates two types of neurons with specific functions.

The first are OFC neurons, which provide each option emotional worth before we choose. Based on our past, identity, and personality. A preceding mechanism directly tied to 'intuition':

For instance, I know this job offer requires unsuitable talents, thus I should decline. contrary to my nature.

Value cells are the second neurotype. Practical attribution replaces emotive attribution here. “I have to take this job because I need a salary and to get back into the job market, which is critical right now.”

After making a selection based on emotional and assigned value factors, the orbitofrontal cortex allocates a new emotion to the option. Simple: the brain constantly motivates us to achieve this aim, this desire.

Making safer judgements requires clear priorities.
We understand that life requires taking chances. Some choices will be better than others. However, what looked insane at first may be the best decision of our lives. Simple: to be happy, you must always decide and take responsibility for your decisions.
