Lack of time: why and how to act?

in #motivation9 months ago

"Today more than yesterday and much less than tomorrow" . Romantics believe time deepens feelings, while pragmatists view it as a burden. The latter wants time to slow down, lack time, and have more. What's wrong with insufficient time?

The CNRTL defines time as “indefinite and homogeneous environment in which beings and things are located and which is characterised by its dual nature, both continuity and succession”.

However, some of us lack time, making it a paradox. In 2018, 65% of French individuals thought they didn't have enough time to do everything they desired in a day, and 48% felt they didn't have enough time for their families.

We suffer from lack of spare time and realising that work comes first. Parents and children only meet in the evening, so they must find free time at the end of the week to cope with unexpected events, do housework, and take the kids to play sports.

For some, combining activities is impossible without running out of time. This would be “dependent” on five injunctions categorised by American psychologist Taibi Kahler. We call these the 5 drivers: 5 common parental injunctions.

Some people are “victims” of perfectionism and need to make mistakes.
Be strong: this category includes independent people. These people are often alone and can't delegate.

Another group is those who can't say no and want to please. The latter suffer because they must honour obligations they cannot keep despite their desire to please.

Make an effort: Another group is called “Try again.” It gathers those who “are justified more by the effort than by the results”. Working hard and staying up all night will make them proud.

Hurry up: some think a slow activity is unimportant. These people do things at the last minute despite anxiousness before the deadline.

Simply balancing work and life is difficult for some. In addition to personality and time, why do people lack time?

The stresses of family and work change our connection over time.

Mom works in hospitals, spends her leisure time with me, and often has professional issues that separate her from my family. Twelve-year-olds can't express themselves like that. His perspective is needed to understand the time crunch.

So how might her single mother save time and balance work, family, and social life? What if time was a luxury few could afford?

Some believe they don't have enough time because they don't do what they love. If we do what we love, we can balance family and our passions. Of course, time passes quickly, but quality, productive time makes us happy and accomplished.

Wasting time means not knowing your goals.

Decision-making is "the inability to make a choice" owing to anxieties of having to choose, taking responsibility, displeasing others, or disagreement.

“Not deciding also means maintaining a certain illusion of omnipotence” and not realising oneself, especially if lacking self-confidence.

Above all, a misperception of time constraints.
Our perspective of time is often wrong. Since our society is productive and economical with time, we are motivated by anxiety induced by urgency.

Time constraints are usually caused by stress. Time is a problem; we must accept it.
