Fill Your Tank.

You don't plan for battle when the war is near, you plan for battle in the time of peace. You don't want to be caught unaware or napping.

You can live with losing the good fight, but you cannot live, with not fighting it.

Just yesterday, while in the cab, the cab driver acted like a possessed being, well, not "like", i would even say he is. While returning from where i went to, we noticed a group of policemen redirecting people from a particular route. I didn't know why but ofcourse i know it is common sense not to disobey it, but then, the possessed driver chose not to listen and started going there head on. While we were still lashing him with words as to why he would act so stupidly, we noticed a wire lying on the road, which was why the policemen actually told everyone not to cross. Seeing it across, we told him to just go back, this man would't listen. He even increased his speed. I felt like pushing him off the wheel and take over like we see in Hollywood movies but then, this is reality and lives are at stake here.

I really felt the impulse to pull his gear or do something just to halt the car. We all know all these thoughts cross our minds in split seconds especially when we spot potential danger right ahead. All i said as he ran over the wire; which we didn't know if it is "live" or not, was "JESUS!" as the possessed driver ran across it with even some of the wires still hanging just above. My heart sunk! I wondered why people are so stubborn especially there Micra cab drivers. I felt like throwing him some punches and bring out the angry side i have long buried. I struggled to stay sane and calm, i rather gave him punches with my words.

The possessed driver later tried to calm down and plead "ignorance" but we duly gave it back to him and he kept quiet till the end of the journey. Now you see why i called him possessed. Something obviously came over him. He struggled to explain himself.

I used the first statement above because, just that yesterday morning, i read a declaration about "security", and one of my unit members in Church just shared a testimony on our WhatsApp group how she was saved from a potential bike accident which could have been bigger. While rejoicing and thanking God for her, few hours after, mine kicked in, as explained above.

The Yorubas (my tribe in Nigeria), would say: "Ibon lapati, ko lapati, kosi baba eni ti o ma gba, ki won doju ibon ko oun".
Translated: "Whether a gun is loaded or not, no one dare allow it to be pointed at him or her".
Whether the wire is alive or not, no one wants to play or joke around such a potential danger.

Always be battle ready. What you have inside you will definitely manifest when trials or potential danger comes. So, what do you have inside you? Keep your alter of prayer burning, you won't know when your life will depend on it, but when your tank is empty, how do you move forward or complete your journey. Yes, God protects and the Grace is there, but then, what is in your hand that He can work with, that you can leverage on? A relationship with God is the best you can ever experience in this life.

Okay, that's my testimony Saturday (what's yours?), and a charge for you to always pray, not when trouble is nigh, but when trouble is far off.
Remember, you plan for war in a time of peace. God is always a second away, reach out, launch out, no one is far from the reach of Grace. Shalom!
