How to remain motivated in our daily life
We are going to talk about drive today, which is something we sometimes have trouble with. As of late, everyone has been trying to figure out the answer to the question "What is motivation?"
This means that the first thing we can do is answer the question, "What is motivation?" One way to describe drive is as the force that makes people act the way they do.
Now that we know "What is motivation?" we can talk a little about what other things motivation does.
Motivating ourselves helps us do things that will help us reach our goals and keep doing them. It also helps us work faster and focus better. To put it another way, inspiration is something that helps us reach our goals.
Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are two types of motivation that can help us answer the question "What is motivation?" Let's look at what intrinsic and extrinsic drive mean and some examples of each.
Intrinsic drive comes from a strength inside each of us. When we are free to do what we want, when we see that our skills are getting better, and when we give our work value, this is called intrinsic motivation.
One good example of answering the question "what is intrinsic motivation?" is working on a hard project to see that we can figure it out and finish it. Intrinsic drive means that we want to do something because we enjoy it, feel like we're getting better at it every step of the way, and want to finish the puzzle.
Reading different articles about a subject not to get good grades but because we are interested in it is also linked to our intrinsic drive.
When things like rewards, money, social support, and praise from our surroundings make us want to do something, this is called extrinsic motivation.
When we are motivated by things outside of ourselves, we usually do something to avoid the good thing that will happen if we don't do it or the bad thing that will happen if we do it.
We are acting with secondary motivation if we learn to play the guitar because we love it and not because we want to get compliments on it.
In the same way, if we do extra work at work that we don't want to do just to get paid more, that means we are motivated by things outside of ourselves.
