Daily Motivation #5 - "It's not the destination that matters, it's the journey."
"It's not the destination that matters, it's the journey."
Few days ago I watched a film named "The peaceful warrior". In the movie there is a scene where (spoiler alert xD), the main actor (Dan Millman) with his trainer(Socrates), were climbing a huge mountain together, because Socrates wanted to show him something amazing at the top of the mountain! Once they reached the top of the mountain, Dan asked Socrates what was the amazing thing that he wanted to show him. Socrates told him that he didn't want to show him something specific!
What's the message behind the scene?
Socrates wanted to show one of the most meaningful lessons of life to Dan! In every goal in our lives there is the journey and the destination (the goal)! Most of the people focus to the destination, to where they want to go, what they want to achieve, but they never enjoy the journey! For a very long time I was focusing on my goals ONLY. I was focusing on the future. I was visualizing and living the future but I wasn't living the present, the NOW! After watching that scene I realized the big mistake that I was doing for many years!
Whatever is your goal, whatever you want to succeed always remember that it's the journey that matters! The journey will grow you and make you the best self of you! Journey is the process that will train you, and make you a better person in order to reach that destination! But the journey it's a pleasant process, a process that we need to enjoy and have fun!
Have your goals clearly written down, know the steps that you have to take, but after that live in the present! Every single day, wake up, be grateful that you breath, and take another one step closer to your goal! But, always remember that each step you take in your journey take it as best as you can! Live it, enjoy it, and have fun with it! In the end you will see that you will reach your destination! But, it won't matter anymore to you, because the journey was the biggest gift!
"You don't say I am gonna build the biggest baddest wall that's ever been built. You say, I'm gonna lay this brick, as perfectly as a brick can be laid, and you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall!"
-Will Smith
I love every single one of you and wish you from the bottom of my hard, to always enjoy the process and always achieve every goal that you set!
Love you all, and wish you only happiness! ❤❤❤
