Yesterday,I mentioned that principles are infalliable which means that they are absolutely trust worthy and I shared 5 principles that will guide a person to invest their actions,energy and reactions effectively in building influence and becoming relevant!

Today I will be taking the second part of the lecture which is just a continuation. So,here we go;

6.The Principle of calculated progression

To be influential and become relevant every meaningful progression in accomplishing that one thing you are good at and have made your locus of control must be backed by one step forward everyday.
What you do everyday to a large extent determines who you become. Have you heard this? "Consistency builds a brand and your brand gives you the leverage that you need". You must be committed to taking deliberate steps that will take you to your intended destination!

7.The Principle of effective execution

Show me a man who is skillful in his work,he will not stand before obscure men,he will stand before kings as stated in proverbs!

Success can be said to be when preparation meets opportunity. Kings are not made in the battle field,they are made in the place of preparation To become influential and relevant,daily preparation and fine tunning of one's skills-set will lead to effective execution in the face of opportunities.

8.Principle of extra hands

To be more effective and relevant you need to employ other hands to handle minor commitments. You can get this done by;
Learning to delegate:Employ extra hands and trust them to excute a task just like you would.
Learning to say 'No': Do not take in too much work because you want to impress others,learn to say No to low priority request so that you can create room for other things that are of more value to you.
Practising prioritization:Prioritization gives you the leverage to do the most important things and creates room for you to do what really matters to you.
Doing all these mentioned above will help you to be excellent in whatever you do. And when you are known for excellence,you will be considered relevant.

9.The principle of complementary leverage

No man is an Island! This implies that you cannot rise to perfection or recognition alone without complementary leverage from other people's experience. Hence to build influence and become relevant,you must deliberately submit yourself to functional mentorship.

The clearer your values are to you, the greater the value you will add to people's life. Your values with also attract people of like minds to you. The word is if you focus on adding value to people's life,you will be successful.So to build Influence and be relevant,you must constantly create value!
