Motivation article number #5
Today I'm going to talk about some way people create excuses and a common saying. When I first started Real Estate a lot of agents would say find out your big "why". This is I guess how they motivate themselves to work. I never really got the point of it. People would say my big why is my family. This is why they go to work and when I heard that I laughed. I told them so you don't love this industry your big way should be education buyers and sellers about homes. Your why should be the love you have for the field of work you're in. Either way, I'm not here mainly for that. I heard this from a podcast and I thought I should share with you all.
The big reason people don't make it isn't because they don't have a good "why". I don't even have a "why". I don't think you should use this slogan to motivate yourself. I think you should think of your big "buts". People always say I was going to do it BUT I ran out of time. I had it all planned out BUT I couldn't figure out a way to do it. For example, I did this the other day I wanted to call people BUT I rather watch Netflix. I saw a great movie so I can't complain.
This quote ties in perfectly with what I'm trying to say. I procrastinate as does everyone else to an extent. Don't let your "buts" stop you from what you need to do. In a previous article, I stated something good to do is focus 100% for 15 min on a certain topic. Give it your all and don't stop. Whatever industry you're in has competiton. Get a bigger piece of that pie and let their piece get smaller. This is how you take them out.

Hey @jason7282. Love your quote: "Give it your all and don't stop." I have always believed it's important to have a big strong WHY as a motivation. But that doesn't mean it serves every individual in the same way. I love your point about the empty excuses. That I totally agree with!

I want to leave a legacy of books for teens (a few for adults as well.) I've been privileged to see several in print; but I have so many more stories within me bursting to be shared. This is just one example of a big WHY that chases away the lame BUT excuses...! Thanks for asking!

What you describe sounds like PLR (private label rights). I've dealt with these under another separate entity. Not only books, but also software for which you can purchase the rights, resell, and make a profit. There are many many resources for these, but this is the one I use: https://www.idplr.com/ Is this what you're referring to?
