If we want a different dynamic in this world than what we are currently experiencing, it is going to have to start with an evolution of our own consciousness. Its very easy to complain about the current state of a affairs and to throw our hands up in defeatist submission to the circumstances, but when we do this we are giving up all of our power and ability to take action to create a new paradigm.

"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference"

Whether or not you are religious or even believe in God, the truth in this Serenity Prayer is ever lasting. Try to put it into perspective this way, we are riding out the effects of a previous causation. We cannot change the present and to say so is the same as saying that we can alter history. As far as we know at this point, changing history is an impossible feat and goes against the natural order of things.

Truth is what has happened already and what is happening right now. One cannot change the truth. Truth is immutable and objective. To state or believe otherwise is a deception or delusion.

To resist and change your current reality or the past is a futile task and it is best that we understand this sooner than later so that we can move on with our lives. We do, however, have the power to change our minds so that we may take different courses of action in the PRESENT to create a reality that we wish to experience in the future. Action is the prerequisite for getting things you want at some later time and the best way to start is to get first have a clear vision of what exactly that is.

So next time you are frustrated about how life is going for you, remember that you must ride out the consequence (present) of a previous action (past.) That is just the way it is, but instead of letting circumstances beat you, try using your current and past experiences as the "push factor" to motivate you to achieve the opposite of what you experience today.

Gain the wisdom to know the difference between what can be changed and what can not!
