Making Today Count

Man is scared of the unknown,uncertainity.We do not know what is gonna happen in the next minute and that scares us. The fact that man does not know his fate bothers him.It rankles that we are as pawns in the hands of some Higher being.

The fact that man cannot conquer death, poverty, illness and disease is a constant source of worry. It rankles that in spite of the technological heights we have attained, there are still some things that defy logic, reason and science.

We all want to know what our future would be.But all we can offer ourselves and each other are predictions .We can never really be sure.We do not know what the morrow will bring. We do not really know for sure that we shall rise on the morrow. All we have for certain,for sure,for real is today.

Make your today count. Don't throw it away because you might not get another. Do something worthwhile with it. What have you done today that you may be remembered for? There is always something you can do,no matter how trivial or inconsequential you deem it, that may add a little cheer to this gloomy world. Your kindly smile may well save the world.

Today is what you have, grasp it with both hands and tread with caution. You may be remembered positively or negatively by a singular deed of today. Live your today like it's your last,because it just might be. And you know what?? You have no way of telling otherwise.
