BE YOURSELF ALWAYS
Indeed there is NOTHING wrong with having a role model or even successful people whom you look up to and learn from, but EVERYTHING is wrong with you trying to be THEM.
No matter how hard you try, you can never be them and they can never be you. Every man or woman is at a different stage of awareness. As every leaf on a tree is different, so is every man and woman different in talents, skills and his/her thought processes? For this reason, one can understand why it is a great challenge for him a beings to live with each other, and record the same level of archievment.
Many have condemned and tagged themselves as failures and they can't be like those they have chosen as their role models. Despite all, they have failed to realize they are different persons with different potentialities.
These set of persons are hardly joyful or happy with themselves no matter what level of archievment they may record in their respective careers since all they desire is to be like others.
Beloved, you can never be them and they can never be you, so stop killing your self by trying to be like them. You must ever be conscious of the fact you are different in all things and more importantly we do not possess same level of GRACE.
Truly, the level of grace upon one's life determines the level of archievment one can record in his/her careers. Funny enough, you can always have mates or equals almost in all spheres of life. You can have schoolmates, career mates, roommates, age mates, classmates, the list continues but you can never have "GRACEMATES".
Having role models or mates is not bad as you will always be inspired to learn more, because we are created differently be God. But being you, while learning from them and not trying to be them is the best, as the grace upon every life is enough to make everyone excel and attain any level of achievement so long as one remainds in his/her right career.
SO BE YOURSELF AND STOP LONGING TO BE ANOTHER.
