One should just grab every opportunity that comes and make the best use of it instead of lazing around and expecting automatic success.

The above is really on point. Automatic success is what many are groomed for and when they fail to get it as "promised" they put it all on the world. I like taking advantage of the now, it is what defines the next minutes.
