Hack Your Mind
I'm sure you probably wondering what it means to hack your mind, you probably thinking about the computing stuff, all coding and stuff.... Well if that's where you are, you are not lost. Chill I will find you. Hacking in the computing term means to change information on someone else's computer without them knowing. Hacking your mind is no different, sometimes you need to change the information that has been registered into your mind, stay with me. Growing up, there was this Big Bro in the area who loved to travel. As in... He set a goal to make international trips at least 4 times a year. He usually give us (my friends and I ) the details of his exploits and he showed us pictures too. We (my friends and I ) used to see him as a 'money miss road', as we thought there were so many things he could have done with the money he used for his travelling expenses. But when I got to really know him, I realised he wasn't even rich, he was just DETERMINED to acquire specific experiences. He would scrounge and live as cheaply as possible in order save up for his trips. As a child I never came to understand why someone would starve himself of some things which I viewed as basic, only for him to travel to some unknown place, in search of some sort of experience. I was only able to understand his approach a lot more when I started my university education, as I sometimes go starving just so I could fix up my room.
If you've been surrounded by lack and scarcity all your life, it can be hard for the mind to accept prosperity when it eventually comes.
Sometimes, you just need to hack your mindset and your belief system. The good news is that you don't need a lot of money to do this. See ehn... The Nigerian version of poverty is very sick. It leaves many people open and exposed to abuse by the bastards of this world. Some people have suffered so much that it can feel unreal for a well dressed person to address them politely, "Welcome, sir." or "Have a nice day, ma'am" or even "What would you like?" At least once a week or a month or in two months (depending on your wallet), go to Four Points by Sheraton, Eko Hotel or Raddisson Blu Hotel or KFC or any other nice place. Take yourself to somewhere nice. All you need is a budget of 12K. 7k for the lunch buffet and approx. 5k for an Uber/Taxify ride depending on where you live. Dress like a million bucks, get your face beat and absorb the feeling of being chauffeured as a 'madam' or 'sir'around the city. Eez your money. Enjoy the feeling of being driven to the lobby, not the hotel gate oh... the very lobby where the uniformed bellboys smile like they're happy to see you. Federal Palace is a must see, the setting of the restaurant is gorgeous. Smile back as they say, "Welcome to Radisson Blu, ma'am". Even though you know your way, do like say you miss road. Go to the reception and ask them where the restaurant is. I'm adding this so you get to talk to people who are OBLIGATED AND TRAINED to be nice to you.
Get to the restaurant and REQUEST a table with a perfect view. Then go to the buffet and EXERCISE YOUR POWER TO CHOOSE. Get back to your table and eat the delicious food slowly, not in a hurry. No be the food you really come chop (It's not really the food you came to eat). Tell yourself, You belong here.
When you get back home, your mind will begin to change. The experience itself will not make you rich, but your self esteem will greatly improve. When your self esteem improves, you begin to feel like you deserve more. When you feel like you deserve more, you get more confident and creative on how to get more. Your mind will be stimulated to imagine more creative and productive ideas and monetization streams. You'll start calling up important people who can help make this happen for you.
Do 'money miss road things' at least once a week/month.
Go on a short vacation, not necessarily outside the country.
Go with friends, such trips are enjoyed when you go with others and if you can have fun all by yourself, then do go alone.
Rent a private car or call uber/taxify to drive you around for a day.
Breeze into a classic restaurant just to enjoy the scents and exceptional quality of service.
Go to a car stand and ask for the most expensive one, if they allow test running, take a ride in it. Come back and tell them a prize that's too ridiculous to accept.
Happy people don't have the best of everything, they simply make best use of everything.
With these experiences, you'll go to bed with high quality images and dream in colour. You'll wake up with better quality ideas and matching levels of courage.
Sit with winners, the conversation is different.
See, regardless of your background it is possible to enjoy the best things of this world in your lifetime, but your old conditioning will attempt to play tricks on you to hold you back. Jim Carrey an American Actor and Comedian, once wrote himself a post-dated $10 million dollar cheque, at a time he was 19, broke and unsuccessful, he said the cheque was a motivation for where he wanted to be. Years later he did become successful.
Play tricks on your mind too.
HACK YOUR MIND.
Remember when God thought of greatness, he created you to show for it.

It is psychological in nature. Many people have been battered by poverty so much so that their self esteem has been eroded...We need to get out of our skin sometimes to experience the joy of living....Good work bro
Well said, you couldn't have put it better into words. Thanks for reading.
