Your pace

Someone i know used to say in his dialect, ‘N’uboyé gosé a aka chua ké.’ — I won’t grow teeth because of another man.

One thing I’ve learned from both my parents is contentment in the process. I dream big — my siblings think I’m crazy when I talk about my dreams sometimes, but in all of these my dreamings and stuff, I’ve never been jealous that someone else was going farther than me, or sort to compare my dream and achievements with those of others. I’m human, and I’ve been upset countless of times at the pace that my success goes but I’ve never wanted things that other people have. I don’t believe that what is mine will come to me if I don’t work for it and so I work at my pace. It may seem slow to some people but I’ve always believed that success is subjective.

Dear you , if you grow teeth because of other living things, you might grow shapeless ones or teeth that your mouth cannot contain. Enjoy your process and grow through it. Work as much as you can and believe that in the end, you go dey alright.

Good afternoon.

P.S — I used jealousy because it breeds covetousness. I’m not saying you can’t admire people and what they do or have, it could be a motivator to success. Just don’t be depressed by what they have and think yours is worthless.
