The Essence of life is to live not survive
The word survival made it all sound like life really is that difficult that we all have to go through some kind of struggle to make the most out of it. Yeah, life does have its ups and down, no denying that but survival really isn't the main question, living is.Living doesn't have these sense of struggle with it.
Living your life is the goal, not survival. The word living has this sense of purpose attached to it while survival sounds more like a struggle to stay alive. It's so heartbreaking to realize that many actually tried to survive throughout their lives and they didn't live at all. The better part of their life was spent on meeting the term and demand of life, and not actually bringing their own term to the table or life.

The essence of life is to live it on your own term, to be the captain of the ship and not let life itself and all that is it be the one to call the shots. Even God wants you to dominate and rule your world. Check (Gen 1:28).
The basics of living are knowledge, many can't even differentiate between living and surviving. Knowledge is strong and powerful and those that lack it will be the slave to life and destiny because they won't know or realize the kind of life they were meant to live. Knowledge is knowing that life isn't about doing everything but about doing one thing right.

You are meant to have the life of a king, the earlier you realize these, the better it is to make something meaningful out of your life. Alas, the time is not going, its your life that's going because time will remain even after you have left this world. Time is constant, your life isn't. Two dates are actually very important in your life, the day you were born and The day you will die. They seem like the most important, but it is actually the dates between these two dates that is actually the most important because they determine the legacy you are going to lay down.
