The Cambridge dictionary define anger as a strong feeling that makes you want to hurt someone or be unpleasant because of something unfair or unkind that has happened

when you express your anger in a destructive way then it becomes a problem because it can cause harms to you or people around you, it can have a negative effect on you mentally, emotionally and health wise.

REASONS WHY WE GET ANGRY
Different people get angry for different reasons, i will list some of the reasons below
1)frustration, been intimidated or feeling powerless
2)grief or loss of loved one
3)hunger ( i get really cranky when am hungry)
4)Disappointment or failure
5)fatigue
6)Money related problems and the stress associated with excess debt.
7)pain, health issues, illness etc.

the problem with letting your anger take hold of you is that it can cause a lot of health issues and it has serious consequences
1)anger can cause illness like head and Backache, Hypertension, high blood pressure and Impaired immune system.
2)anger can cause sleep disorder
3)anger can make you loss your job
4)anger can cause depression and eating disorder
5)anger can get you in trouble with the law
6)anger can drive you into taking excess alcohol or hard drugs

HOW TO CONTROL ANGER
1 identify what makes you anger: find out what makes you angry, events, people, or situation that triggers your anger and try as much as possible to avoid them.

2 Get enough sleep: some time deprivation of sleep triggers our anger, it is very important you get enough sleep to avoid unnecessary outburst of anger.

3 take a walk: when you noticed that you are anger at someone or something, get up and go for a walk. going for a walk will help you calm down.

4 Relax : take a deep breath as this helps you to relax and utter calm words or phase like 'i will not get angry' to yourself, you can repeat the process for as many times as possible.

5 Do not bottle up your anger: it is not bad to express your anger but do not do that while you are angry, wait till you are calm. As soon as you're calm and thinking clearly, express your frustration in an assertive but calm way, making sure you do not hurt anyone in the process.

6 slowly count to ten, this may sound funny but it really work for me

if you notice that anger is becoming a serious issue for you, you should get help from friends, family members or talk to an expect on anger management.
