MY BEST IS YET TO COME

Let me tell you a story
It is about one of my grandma's hen, the one she bought at a very small age. Nothing forth coming from the hen as it grows and develops continually irrespective of how it grumps food like glutton.

Day after day cocks keep chasing her all around, they quarrel with themselves just to have a taste of her honey pot.

Suddenly did it started crying strangely, till. I decided to trace it, it entered a corner in the veranda, sat for some minutes like someone who just had to visit the gents after over eating.

So white and fresh, like the snow, it looks so round and new, behold it were 3 set of white eggs but one still looks new. Amazingly to me that was my first encounter with how hen lay eggs.

I packed the three eggs hurriedly to grandma hoping she gets so elated as I was, but reverse was the case ,she gets so furious but forgives my ignorance on the later end. "That is not the best that hen could produce she said''. You just shortened 3 new birds life

3 birds amazing to me, she warned me not to pick the hen's egg again and watch out for the new birds

I continue trailing the hen all around, the next day at about the same hour it came, meeting disappointment, it began to crow in a sorrowful voice, indeed, I had wrong it, I watched its drama for minutes before she headed for the other corner of the veranda and lays another egg. For consecutive days I keep counting, it was on the sixth egg the hen disappeared, she no more come for breakfast, for like 3 weeks she'd be found laying on those eggs, taking breaks sometimes became so weird, she'd struggle to fly around hurriedly looking for food. After almost 3week I started hearing a sound of chicks at the maternity area of the hen. Within few more days she takes 5chicks out all around. So beautiful and innocent with light feathers, tiny and immature beaks.

Now I understand what my granny meant by shortening 3chicks life
After some times ,the inexperienced chick was only able to wean jus 2 out of 5 chicks.
She resumed to another laying period and layed more eggs, produce more chicks and weaned more which increases aftermath.

Indeed it's just an illustration of who we are and ought to be. Those white eggs laid by the egg represents our glory which takes time to manifest after long period of awakening.
When everyone had given up on us believing nothing is coming forth from us.

Even at the sight of our glory people become Surprise, some even would think the best we could produce are those white oval shape food for eating, they never knew our best still needs time and perseverance.

When dream killers come, we don't change our dreams we keep more watchful, change directions and nurture our dream more.

Bringing out life out of an egg can be aligned to how we bring success out of our dirty self... The best an hen could give are those chicks.
And it keep reproducing till death it never stops.

We hereby need consistency, while being indefatigable.
After reaching the peak, we must still keep maintaining that status quo.
No one would reckon you until you bring out the best in you.
And the best is not the raw egg that could still multiply. It is the chicks that could be given life.
Your best is yet to come if you are persistent watchful and dogged
And you can amazingly maintain the best by dedication and continuous effort.
