Yesterday, i embarked on a journey. A total of four cabs are needed to get to my destination, as a result of the particular route which i followed. So, i got in the first cab which is supposed to take me to a particular location and from that location, i am supposed to get another cab to go to the next location.

The Shocker

On my way to the first location, the cab stopped for another person to enter and behold, it was a friend of mine that I have been trying to get to for weeks now but couldn't reach him. Honestly, i wanted to introduce him to steemit because I knew he would love it. Now this was the opportunity. I made the move, and i told him about steemit.

There was enough time to explain almost everything to him, so I did. I made him understand what a great opportunity this was to him in helping him promote his clothing company and in the process make money. So after much said, he signed up. We talked till he got to his destination and got down from the vehicle and forgot to pay because of how engrossed he was. Me on the other hand noticed but i was like, "maybe he paid when I wasn't looking." so he left.

On getting to my destination, I got down and paid the driver, waiting for my change, the driver was like, "change no dey o," that is pidgin for "i don't have any change for you because your payment is complete." What a shocker! I was like, "didn't my friend pay you?" he said, "no." what a mess! Because i had the exact amount of money needed to get to my destination, any short of that amount would get me stranded. So, i left thinking of what to do. I can't beg because I AM A KING. Kings don't beg. So I thought of all my options and it boiled down to walking. I had to walk more than half of my destination. It was far. I have never walked that long before. The remaining money with me was what I used for the last two cabs. While walking, thoughts crossed my mind. One of them was for me to tag along to a moving truck. "no!" i said. "i rather walk" I thought to myself. To cut the long story short, i made it home.

Lesson from my story

Life is like that journey. You start up all right that is, staying with your parents or a guardian and at that point everything looks okay and sweet because you have people paying most the things and providing shelter, clothing and food for you but when you take that bold step to go into the world, you are alone there and everything starts to look tough.

On your journey, you might want to tag along with various vehicles of life so you can get to your destination faster but don't. Suck it up! And endure the training to the end because at the end, you will have a reason to relax and enjoy yourself.

Only people that are tired can enjoy the relaxation process.

Endure the training to the end.
