Series For New Mamas: Natural Ways To Boost Your Milk Supply
I had low milk supply after my 1st and 2nd babies were born. My first born had a tongue-tie and had trouble feeding. The tongue-tie was not dealt with soon enough, so he struggled to latch and my supply decreased. He lost a lot of weight and I had to supplement until he gained enough weight and I had built my supply back up.
Stress was also another factor. The worry of not being able to feed and nourish your child can have a real impact on your supply. It can also cause mastitis which I had numerous times in the early stages of feeding.
My second child was pretty similar. Again she had a tongue-tie, which the doctors at my local hospital refused to cut. So she continued to struggle to get enough milk. I did everything I could to help increase my supply to help her. Until she got stronger and her latch improved all I could do was eat, drink, breath the things I needed to to get my milk flowing.
Although those first few weeks were really tough, I just knew I had to persevere. I really wanted them to get the best start possible.
Over the next few days I would love to share with you some amazing things that helped me boost my supply. I will cover the kinds of food and supplements that helped me with lactation, share some of my recipes, list the herbs I used in tea and also a fantastic pumping regime that worked wonders!!
I'm really happy to be sharing this knowledge that enabled me to get through some of my most challenging times and end up with two beautiful, chubby breastfed babies.
BIG love,

Great idea @startreat!
My 1st & 2nd were tongue tied, but we didnt find out until #4 was born. #3 had ties, and were revised at 6wks old due to latch issues.
#4 was the same, revised hers at 6wks.
We also got #1 & #2, and my own ties revised that day. As ties can cause issues down the road, like speech, tooth development/decay, facial shape, muscle tension, headaches, etc.
It's so common hey? I had never heard of it until my first was born! X
